PLAY BALL!

Welcome to Kelsey's first ever fast pitch softball game. I am going to let the pictures speak for themself. Hope you enjoy:)
The other team was up to bat first and here she is playing 2nd base.

We are 2nd in batting order, here we are getting to bat for the first time ever she did hit the ball but it was an out.

Swing Batter Swing!

Since our 1st time was an out, we are getting a short batting lesson in between.

IT'S A BASE HIT!!!!!
Not much power behind the hit, but enought to get her to 1st base. they say she is the fastest runner on the team.

Keep your eye on the batter.

Run, Go, GO, GO

Hold up, keep your eye on the batter. Be ready

This is were it ended,
she got all the way to 3rd base and the 3rd out was made and she did not make a run in.
Game went into a tie and they won 7-5.
We play again next sunday, so I will keep you posted with more pictures.
Hugs and kiss to all:)

Family Update

By now I am sure you all are aware Mike is unemployed. After 12 years of up and downs Mike decided it's best to start a new life doing something different. What that different is we are still trying to understand. See we thought that the something different was a lot different then what we got. What we bidded on was the material way of life, better pay, better working hours, room to expand, and more things. But you see someone that already has all this stuff felt that we did not need these things and choose to change our path altogether. Oh, I am not saying they were right or they did the right thing, what I am trying to say is I am glad they did what they did. See now that Mike is unemployed he is relaxed, enjoyable and fun to be around. Reminds me of the Mike I fell in love with many years ago. Over the years of trying to provide for your family wears on you to the point you can not enjoy life any more. Knowing that you have to face something that is not enjoyable anymore became a daily undertaking of depression, lack of self esteem, anger, hate, and lack of passion. So you ask yourself daily Why am I doing this to myself and my family?
So now you ask, What is ahead for the Woodring's? Well we are still trying to find out our self. We have taken a few days to rediscover each other and have decided that the future is not in our hands it is the hands of God. The good lord would not have presented this to us with out having a plan in mind. What we have to do is allow that plan to be seen and to take place.
Mike is taking steps to find a new job, it may not be in the same line of work he was in. I think at this point he would like to see what else is out there besides plumbing. He has spoken with someone regarding some possible opening at the local lock and damn, he has also been taking pre-testing for some of the trades in the area. I am really proud to say, the highest score is a 6 and he has gotten several 6's, several 5's and only one 4 (that was in team work, he does not like to play fair!). He will go back this next week for the real test, once he takes this and if he scores high he could get some really great offers. So keep him in your prayers as he prepare to take these test next week. As for the rest of us, were doing fine. Oh, we have our ups and our downs but knowing that our love and faith for each other is what is keeping us going. I could not be more proud of him and what he is doing.
Hug and kisses to all:)
