?

I know I said I was going to take a break from blogging for a while, but just could not resist myself. Just wanted to give everyone a family update. I leave for Indy for 3 weeks on sunday to start my new job. I was offered a wonderful position with a company out of Indy, I have worked side by side with this company for about 5 years and when an opening came up and my current employer decieded to merger this was the best time to look at something new. The pay is great and I get to work from home, with light travel possible 2 or 3 days a week. Say a prayer that things will go well, and my travels will be safe.

Kels is glad to be back in school, she is really enjoying her freshman year. I can not express enough what a fine young lady she is. Her dad bought her a car over the summer and she is wanting to start driving education classes soon. Not sure that I am ready for that little bit of freedom when she starts to drive, but I am ready to stop playing taxi driver!!!

Woody, not sure where to start with him. He has so much going on right now everything is just a big cloud of fog. His boat motor locked up last weekend and is now in the shop. He is working with the Insurance company to see if they will cover any of the cost of repairs. I would ask that you keep him in your prayer also.

Sorry

I know you all are looking for an update on the family happenings, sorry for the disappointment, but I just don't feel like blogging openly right now. I am going to take a small break from blogging for a while. During this break I would ask that you keep the Woodring Family in your prayers.

Hug's and Kisses to all

SUMMERLONG

As you can see we have been spending a lot of time on the river this summer. This time Kelsey was able to go with us and we were finally able to teach her how to ski. Only took her about 3 or 4 tries before she could get up, but once she got up she was able to to ski about 5 minutes. However, I don't think she is to ready to go again real soon. I think the next time she does she will stick to tubing!

Getting her ski's on

Wondering if she is doing the right thing here or hurry up and get this over with! Not sure which.

YEAH, She finally got up, way to go girl!

Keep it up girl.

WIPE OUT

Well, I'm sure you knew this was coming. We ended up in the doctor office, her ski went one way while she was still attached and the ankle wanted to go the other way. The x-ray did not show any breakage, that they could tell, just a sprain they think at this point. But she can not put any weight on it. So the doctor gave her crutches to get around on for about a week and once she is able to put some weight on the ankle she will be fitted for a brace sometime this week.

Hello Everyone

Just had an extra few minutes and wanted to share some of the events that has been happening with us over the last few weeks, as you see we have been busy. Most of our time is spent working, but we have taken a couple of nights away from work to have some us time.
(Check out the two post below this post to see some highlights)

Us time is not easy to find these days since all of us are going in different directions. Hard to keep up with each other, I used to say I would never be one of those women that put a calendar on the fridge to keep up with all the coming and goings. Now I think I am going to have to break down and be one of those woman and get a calendar for the fridge, just so I can mark US time instead of trying to remember this at that time and this at on that day.

No update on the current job merger, other than they have pushed it back now until Sept 1, so I feel no news at this point is good news. School will be starting here in about 3 weeks, Kels is really looking forward to her freshman year. She has had a busy summer, with babysitting, swimming and spending time with her boyfriend, hasn't left her with much time to do anything else.

To all Montana Family....
We would really love to be there for the up coming baby showers and for Lane's big day, but it's just not going to be possible right now. Do me a favor and be sure to get some great pictures and post on your blogs. I often feel like we not so far apart when you all update with such cute photos and stories. Congratulation to Hannah and Lane, were going to miss sharing those special moments with you. Love you all.

To the Georgia Family....
Roy should be home soon, if not already. Give him a big hug from all of us in Indiana, I am sure you all will have a great time while he is home. Wish we could come play some hand and foot with you all:)

WOODY CAN STILL SKI!!!!!

Pictures are worth more than words .....................................................

Your only as old as you feel.
Great job honey I'm proud of ya.

To Much to Blog, So little time!!!!!!

I am not sure I even know where to start, these last few weeks have just been a big blur!!! I am still trying to find out which direction we are all going in. Woody and I took a night off from working last week and was able to share a wonderful evenings with some friends. We were asked by a young couple to join them at the Kenny Chesney & Gary Allen Concert. Now keep in mind concerts are not really our thing, but how can you turn down a chance for GREAT seats at Kenny Chesney!!!! I was more interested in seeing Gary Allen perform than Kenny, but both of them put on a great show. If you ask me Gary Allen is way better looking than Kenny Chesney is. We had a wonderful time and loved the show. Here are just a few of the highlights of the evening. Oh and yes, Woody did sing the whole way through the concert!!!!

Kenny singing on stage, can you tell we had great seats?

This was after the show.

Gary Allen..............WHAT A HOTTIE!!!!!

What who's this couple having a good time and not working????

"To Friends Who Care"

The following is a letter from fine young man, who is the son a wonderful co-worker who was serving for OUR freedom in Iraq. Our plans are to hang the Flag in our office and have the letter from the Lt. Co framed to hang along side of it.

Dear Employees at Welborn Clinic Accounts Receivable and EyeCare Department;

I am the son of your co-worker in the AR department. I was recently on temporary duty in Iraq.

I wanted to send you a sincere "Thank You" for all your support and great care packages all you put together. Your generosity is greatly appreciated, and you sent so much that I was able to "share the wealth" with my fellow airmen.

As a token of my appreciation, please except this USA Flag that was flown during a mission on an F-16-C+ Viper Fighter Jet, along with a letter signed the the Lt. Co Pedrotty of the UASF.

As a member of the United States Air Force, it is my pleasure to serve my country for the right to freedom.

Surprise.................... I didn't forget you all

Yeah, I know you all thought I forgot about you cause I have not provided you all with the boring Woodring family update, sorry about your luck cause I'm back:)

Ok, so I took a few weeks (maybe) a month off from writing and I promise to get better, hopefully I can stick to my promise.

All is well on the home front, were just like everyone else trying to avoid the high gas prices and stay close to home. Seems not to be working very well though. Seems like all we do is WORK, WORK WORK. And making less money. Anyway don't want to bitch to much cause I know were all in the same boat.

Kelsey started freshman volleyball a few weeks back. She has to get up three days a week and be at the high school by 6:00 am, and gets the pleasure of running up to a mile before they even start to work out. all this by 7:oo am. This will go on for 4 weeks, July bring volleyball camp. So we'll see how that goes.

I won't bore you all with the details about Woody's job this time, he is doing great and keeping very busy. Don't see him much, always working. Don't get to see many other friends these last few month either due to always working.

Do you think we need some time off?

Will know by Aug 1, if my company is going to sell out to a local hospital. It's getting tighter and tighter around the clinic every day. This pending sell is staring to wear on everyone. I just hope I still have a job come Aug 1.

Got to run, guess what have to go back to work again.

"Everyday is a GREAT day when you don't have to look up and see anything coming at ya"

This was sent to me in an email from a very dear wonderful lady who's son is station in Iraq. He shared this with her in an email and she share with me. I have only been exposed to a few friends and family who have to laid their life on the line so that I can continue to bore you with this silly blog. We take for granted our freedom every day and only these young men and woman know what hell is really like. So with this being said if we have had the pleasure of meeting or if your part of my family or if we never have meet before

"THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE SACRIFICE FOR YOUR LIFE AND YOUR FAMILY THAT ALLOWS US TO HAVE THE FREEDOMS WE HAVE"

We love you and pray for your safe return.

Hi:)

I know it has been awhile since I have last update this thing, seems like I am having trouble keeping up with everyone these days.

Woody is home from his fishing trip, they had a wonderful time. I could not begin to tell you how much fun they had. Just so happened the last car available was a cherry red mustang convertible, then when they got to the resort they were staying at so was about 150 other BASS pro fisherman!!! Yea, that's right he got to hang out with the pro's. He got some great pictures I just have not had the time to up load in them to the computer yet. I will. He didn't get a big one, I think his largest bass was 5 lbs. Roy got the big one, his was 10 lbs 6oz. You should have seen that thing it was SOOOOO BIG!! I want to leave you with a mental picture, picture this two 40 year's old men going through mid-life in a convertible on spring break, yea I said spring break!!!! Baked red from the Florida sun, cursing with the top down and music loud!!!! I am sure that would have been a site to see?

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, we had a wonderful day, was able to join Momma Linda at the 6:00 am sunrise church service and breakfast afterwards at IHOP. Our day got bigger from there with Woody sleeping in the chair and I slept on the loveseat at momma Linda's house.

SNOW AGAIN, THIS TIME 6 INCHES!!!!

That's right 6 plus inches fell over the last 24 hours. Just when I was thinking spring was in the air it hit us again. This time we only lost one day of school (friday) and we did not lose any work over this storm. I think the kids are going to have to go to school into June this year to make up for all the snow/ice days we've had. For those that live out west, I am sure this looks the like what you all have had for a while, but for those of you that live in the south. Hope your drolling!
We go a call from some old friends we have not seen in months asking if we wanted to go sledding today, Woody was working so Kels and I went and had a great time.

What a cute snow bunny!!!

The snow around the pool in the back yard.

Just a view of the lake out back, doesn't look like much.

Having a great time.

It's a race to the bottom, Thanks Jim and Karen for letting us come play:)

Hope everyone is warm and well.
Hugs and Kisses to all.
Love ya

Missing in Action

Hello to all who are faithful reader (or truly board individuals who need a life).
We are truly SORRY for such a long delay without any posting. You see, we are back to our busy life style again and we don’t seem to have enough time to stop and sit down for a few minutes, let along play on the computer.

We have been up to our ears in ice around here. We have had an ice storm every Tuesday for the last three weeks, everything has been covered in ice up until this week when we got a light skim of snow on top of the ice. But today it’s warming up, it’s in the 50”s and most all the ice from this week storm is melted and you can smell spring in the air. YEAH!!!! Bring it on, I am so ready to get out side and do something outside.

But in the mean time we all have been keeping busy… Bowling All-Star’s is into it’s finally weekend (think goodness, I am so tired of bowling alley food). Kelsey is doing really well; she has stayed within the top 20 for the last 5 weeks. However, there are only 36 girls and last I checked she was in 17th place. She spoke with the High School bowl team coach the other day and he told her as long as she kept up her average to come see him when she starts freshman year. Which by the way is this August! She is already asking us to get a job and get her driving permit. Lord help us!!!!!

Woody is getting ready to go to Florida in two weeks for a big fishing trip. He seems to be getting along really good with the owners of the new company he is working for and just so happens he likes to fish also. I’m telling you them two together is a mess, look out fish here they come. Roy has talked Woody into fishing several tournaments this summer, but the trip to Florida is kinda business/leisure. See Roy has to go down there to meet with some business and it just so happens that is really close to a lake that Woody has been wanting to fish for a long time. So to help Woody understand the business a little better and to learn new things he get to go. They are shiner fishing for big Bass at Lake Kissimmee in Orlando Florida. Woody is hoping to land one of the record bass weighing in at 13lbs. Best of luck honey, you deserve a break. It’s been a long time coming!!!

JURY DUTY

I had to go for jury duty selection today. Got lucky ( you could say) and did not get picked. 50 people reported this morning, 14 were asked to come up front to the jury chairs and both atty's drilled them for over an hours before we took a break. After coming back into the court room the same 14 returned to their chairs and continued questioning. I was not one of these 14. After about another hour we were taken into a side room and them another group of 14 were called, again my name was not called again. They came back and another group of 14 went. (Now during this time keep in mind that 50 people minus 14 are all in one little small room, and we do not have a clue who each other are. It was really interesting watching everyone in the room as to what people do when they do not know each other.)

Back to the court, that group comes back and they finally call me and two other people. I found it interesting that they only called three people this time instead of 14. So when we were brought back into the court room, we were told that the jury selections was completed but they needed one extra person as an alternate. The three of us were questioned by the atty's and one of the questions asked was do you know the defendant, arresting officer or someone from the list of witnesses. I responded yes, I know a witness on the list. How do I know this person? He happens to our local chef of police, I went to high school with him and he provides security at the local high school events that Kelsey goes to. And for the next 15 to 20 minutes (seems liked forever) all the questions were directed toward me. You can say I was in the hot seat. After all this, we were taken back to the little room on the side and asked to sit and wait. Let me tell you sit and wait is the key here. a lot of sitting and waiting!!!!! So after all this a clerk came in and said the following name were free to go and my name was called.

Disappointed you can say, I would have really like to stay and try my hand at jury duty. I wanted to hear the fact about the case.

Mike was the lucky one, his jury duty was two weeks ago and after his sections process he was selected and was even elected jury formen for trial. Oh well, there is alway next time.

BOWLING UPDATE

We started All-Stars this past weekend, with All-Stars they take the top 16 bowlers (8 girls & 8 guys) from each bowling lanes to make up the All-Stars. Every one competes against each other with no handicap.

Round 1-Saturday was at Diamond lanes and the first game went great. we got a 210, but it went down hill from there. The 2nd game was a 147 and the last game was only a 90. Now tell me how you can go from a 210 to a 90??? but that left her in 16th out of 36 going in to round 2.

Round 2- Sunday was at willow lanes, smaller center with only 16 lanes. But she held her own these 3 games, all her games were over 100 each and totaled 479. Not sure where she is at after the 2nd round. We have 5 more rounds over the next 6 weeks. Will keep you posted as to how she is doing.

She Did it!!!

Kelsey took 1st place in all her bowling events over the weekend!!!!!!

Here is how she finished:

1st place for teams event (with 4 others on her team)
1st place for doubles event (just her and another Kelsy bowling together)
1st place in singles (this was all her, she only got a 10 pin per game handicap)
1st place in over all (not sure what over all is yet, won't know till awards program)
1-highest pins over average for being 136 over her average the 1st weekend.

CONGRAT to our bowler!!!!.
It took us about 20 minutes to scrap her off the ceiling after we told her about her and then it came out in today paper.

Click here to see the scoreboard listing in today's paper (look under the subtitle of bowling). For the double event she was in Division D and for Singles and all events she went into Division C. If you want to view it and can not pull it up let me know and I will email it to you.

Post her a comment if you can or send her an email to congratulate her.

201 Game

Yesterday Kelsey finished up her 2nd half of the youth city tournament, not sure yet how she did. Her first event of 3 games was doubles, on her first game was a 201. All three games for doubles ended with a 513. The second event of three game (back to back) was singles event. Her total games she ended with a 497. So not bad chicky babe. The postings in today paper were results up through the prior weekend, this weekends are not posted yet. Going into the tournament she had a 127 average and bowled over her average each game.

Hello Everyone!!

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. We have had so much going on the last few weeks that we are having trouble finding time to get anything done. So I'll try not to bore you with all the little stuff.................

Mike's job is going really good, he has been working 50 plus hours the last few weeks. He has already pickup up several new accounts for them and the owners are very please as to how quickly he has pickup up on the business. The long hours are starting to get to him, but when he gets tired he just reminds himself that he is going fishing in March (more on that later). I recall saying in a prior posting that we needed to just sit tight and see what the lord had in store, and hope we would know it when it comes along. We let me tell you, we did see it.....him taking this new job is an answer to your prayers. Thank you everyone for all your prayer and support during his search. Mike asked me the other day if he has to wake up from this dream. I asked him what dream and he said this dream he is in with this job. He really is enjoying it. I love to see him having fun again.

Kelsey has finally returned to her bowling, she is doing really great. Last weekend she bowled the 1st half of the City tournament and her team of 5 members took 1st place. For 3 games she was 136 pins over her average. Which won her a some sort of scholarship. Were not sure all the details on this yet. She will bowl the single and doubles event tomorrow. So we are hoping she will do as good as she did last week. Then next week she will be doing the city All-Stars for the next 6 weeks. This is where all bowling lanes takes their top bowler and compete against each other. We were not sure if she was going to be able to do this since she didn't bowl in the fall, but some how things worked out and she is going to be able. Thank Goodness!!!

As for me, while I am doing pretty good, I have slowed down doing hair after work for a while. There before christmas I was working about an extra 30 hours a week doing hair. Everyone wanted to look good for all the christmas parties. Feels good to just rest, but I am now starting to get board. Found out over the holidays that my job might be merging with one of the big hospital in town. The doctors are still working it all out, so we won't know anything for a few more months. We are not sure all the details yet as to what will happen to all the employees if they do merge. I am hoping we merge, and they take all the employees. this would open up a whole new world to all of us and give some employees a chance to explore other options. I am not going to get to nervous yet, it could still all fall through.

Hug and Kiss to all

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEVON:)

Just wanted give a quick shout out to say
Happy Birthday Devon!!!

So hold your ear's and hear it goes...............

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
DEVON

Devon is one of Kelsey's friends that lives a few blocks over from us. She really is a great girl (even if I am the only one that thanks so!!!). She had been a wonderful friend to Kelsey over the last few years and I am sure they will be able to enjoy many more years of great friendship together. She turned 14 yesterday and a few of us had the pleasure of sharing a wonderful Mexican dinner with her. The dinner came complete with whipped cream smashed in her face.

Devon,
Hope you had a wonderful birthday.

Love ya,
Mike, Chris and Kelsey
